So, Halloween was a little on the gloomy side this year...it was so wet and cold outside. :( Poor little Trick or Treaters. Growing up trick or treating in California we never had this problem. So we went to a few houses and then decided the mall would probably be a better idea. I had never done that before but it was still fun and the kids got lots of candy and had a good time.

I love fall and all the festivities that come with it. For the past few years we have taken the kids to Black Island Farms, they love it!! We spent a good 3 hours there......good times with good friends and family. :)

I love summer!! I love the sunshine, my birthday is in July, my favorite holiday is the 4th of July, I love our little family trips and most of all my kids can play outside!! Yaaaaay! :) We have been busy busy busy. This is just a little recap so far......

This past weekend Jon and Charli went to a Daddy-Daughter Princess Ball. It was so cute. All the little girls dressed up like their favorite princess and got to go to a castle and meet all the Disney princesses. Charli was so excited to see her friends and to see Cinderella.

Along with my BFF! Jon's sister and her family moved to Northern California last summer, it was so sad and we miss them so much. Rachel and I have gotten to be the best of friends over the past few years so it has been really hard for both of us. Knowing I needed a little break, Jon was nice enough to let me go see them for a few days all by myself! :) What a great guy. We had so much fun and can't wait until they come visit this summer.

It's hard to believe Chandler is 4 already, time flies when you're having fun.....right??! ;) Of course he was dying to go to Chuck E. Cheese, so that's where we headed. It was a very happy birthday.

So I have never been big into Valentine's Day. Jon and I have done the whole couples massages, nice dinner out, flowers etc....It's soooooo overrated!! We do that stuff throughout the whole year, so why fight the crowds on that "special" day. We decided this year we would just take the kids out to do something special for them. And we knew The Pizza Factory and Fat Cats wouldn't be too busy on this particular night, so that's where we ended up. The kids had so much fun, and it was acutally a pretty relaxing evening.

They rode this about half a dozen times..... :)

This is about as close as Chandler's gonna get to riding a bullet bike....at least until he's out of our house! :)

I LOVE Christmas, I love the craziness, I love the shopping and I love that my kids are starting to understand what it all means. It comes in very handy when they are being naughty. I just tell them, "Santa isn't gonna come if you're not good." :) They were so excited about it this year and that made it so much fun.

This weekend we went and saw Elmo and the whole gang at Sesame Street Live at The E Center. When I heard it was coming I knew I had to get tickets because my kids LOVE Elmo and the others from Sesame Street. They were totally entertained the whole time. It's crazy how long Sesame Street has been around, my Mom and Dad took me to see Sesame Street Live when I was 2 1/2 and it's still going strong!

Festival of Trees

Jon's Mom is very involved in the Festival of Trees, so every year we look forward to going to see what new things people have come up with. It's amazing all the stuff people make and donate to this event. This year we went with our friends Brad and Michelle and their cute little girl Mia. Chandler started preschool this week, I can't believe it! I know some moms say, "Awww, it's so sad, I'm gonna miss them when they are in school." Not me! Not that I won't miss him, but I am excited for the little break not only that I will get, but the break he will get from me and Charli. I think it is so important for him to have his own time. Is that bad that I didn't cry or anything?? He's such a big boy!

Last Saturday we did the MS 5K walk with Rachel and Joe and the kids. It was alot of fun, and all the kids were so good. It felt good to support everyone that struggles with MS.

I can't believe my little boy is three already, time goes by too fast!! So since we just had Charli's birthday party at our house 6 weeks ago, I decided to let Chuck E. Cheese clean up the mess this time. The kids had alot of fun playing on all the germ infested games and rides, and of course all the parents could think was, "Great, the sickness is gonna start all over again....where are the wipes?!" But I guess you just have to let them run wild every now and then. Chuck E. Cheese is after all the place "Where a kid can be a kid!" :) Happy Birthday Chan-Man!!

So the sickness definitely hit our house this year, and poor Charli got the brunt of it. We have been so lucky with Chandler, he is almost three and has never had anything more than a little cold, not even one ear infection. So when Charli's nose started running, and she had a little cough I just thought maybe she had a bit of a cold. But as her cough got really deep I took her to the doctor and they tested her for RSV, luckily that came back negative, but the doctor said she definitely had bronchitis, poor thing. There isn't much you can do for that but the usual humidifier in the room and elevate their head while they sleep. She started to get better and then 4 days later woke up (or tried to wake up) with pink eye in both eyes!! It was so sad, I started crying, they were crusted shut. Back to the doctor we went. "How did she get this, she doesn't even go to daycare." But the doctor said it is so contagious, she could have gotten it from a shopping cart. Yuck!! The eyedrops her doctor prescribed were amazing, they started clearing up within 24 hours. Luckily Chandler didn't get it, but I got a back up bottle just in case. Needless to say it has been a long couple weeks and we haven't gone anywhere, therefore the lack of blogging!! :)

So sad!! :(

I recently had Charli's one year pictures taken. It is crazy how fast time goes by, my baby is getting too big. :( My sister and I like to get my niece Kendall and Charli's pictures taken together since they are so close in age. They did pretty good, but as Chandler has proven, it gets alot harder to take pictures as they get older, they are not wanting to look at the camera and you are making a fool of yourself trying to get them to smile. Oh well, they still turned out so cute. :)

They were being stinkers so we had to bribe them with suckers, and they just happened to match their outfits.

This was so funny, we had to tell the photographer to take it. It looks like Charli is saying "Kendall I can't believe your doing that, I am so embarassed."

Hollywood Connection!!

This weekend we met one of my friends that lives in Orem at Hollywood Connection. We wanted to get together with our kids so we thought this would be a good meeting point. There was definitely a different crowd there, it's not in the best part of town!! But the kids had fun. Here are just a few pictures of them on some of the rides.

OK, so anyone that knows my son knows that he is a "Dennis the Menace"! Always getting into trouble, I have so many stories already about him. I am in for it!!
So, he hasn't quite grasped the concept of waiting in line, we went through this at Lagoon last year and then again at Disneyland, I am still waiting for him to get it. So we were waiting in line to ride the "Krazy Bus" and I was talking to my friend and trying to hold on to Chandler at the same time, well before I knew it he was gone! I was looking around saying "where's Chandler?" I turn around and there he is hopping on the ride. The kid working the ride said nothing as he passed through the 20 people in front of us and pushed his way to the front. The gate was too tall for me to hop over so what could I do but stand there, I wasn't about to push my way to the front. Jon was so mad at me for not keeping my eye on him, but we couldn't help but laugh as he sat right down, pulled the lap bar down and was ready to go.

I can't believe my baby girl is one!! Time goes by too fast, especially when this is it for us. No more babies, (at least we're not planning on it). Well we had a fun celebration for Charli, she was a trooper, there is so much involved with a one year old birthday party. If it were up to Jon there would be no big shindig, he doesn't understand why I go all out when she isn't going to remember it anyways. I did it with Chandler and I'm gonna do it with Charli, and probably for all their birthdays until they are 18. He will never understand, oh well!! :) We always have fun!

This weekend was my niece Kendall's first birthday. She is 13 days older than Charli, I never had any cousins my age growing up so I am excited for them to be so close and grow up together. My sister did a great job with the party she got Chic-Fil-A nuggets and wraps, mmmmm, there was fresh fruit, veggies, chips and salsa and of course cake and ice cream. She just like most moms stress out the whole day just making sure everything turns out perfect. And it was, good job Kelly and remember I will be in your shoes in 2 weeks. Yaaaay!! :)

Jon's sister Rachel's birthday was this week so I told her I wanted to take her to dinner. She invited some friends that she teaches with and we headed down to Z'Tejas, mmmmmm our fav!! Lazy Days!!

We were so pooped after Christmas that the next couple of days we did nothing. It was fabulous! Chandler and Charli were content just playing in the laundry basket for almost 45 minutes, it was great. And yes they were in their pj's most of the day. :) When Charli finally went down for her nap Jon took Chandler outside to play in the snow, they were out there for over an hour. Christmas was very busy this year. After we opened presents at our house, we had to get ready to be at Jon's Grandmas in Holiday by 1:00 p.m. Then since it was our turn to host Christmas for my side of the family it was a big rush to hurry and get back to our house by 4:30 p.m. Everything is just so much harder with 2 small children with no naps!!! But at the end of the day it was a lot of fun spending time with family. Hopefully next year won't be so hectic!

So Jon comes from a a family that's a yours, mine and ours kinda thing. Jon's dad has 5 children from his first marriage, Jon's mom has 1 from her first marriage and together they have 2 (Jon and Rachel). So since his family is so big they have a seperate Christmas party for the Lee side. It was fun, the only sad part was no Santa. :( Jon's gramps that just passed away this last summer would play Santa every year for the longest time. All the grandchildren loved it, they would sit on his lap and Jon's dad would take a picture. It was great, no mall lines. :) The older children started to figure it out as they get older, it was funny a couple years ago my niece Cassidee said to her mom, "he smells like gramps." It was so funny. Chandler got a couple years with him, but Charli will never now "Gramps Santa" :( Looks like it's to the mall we go!!

I just had to add this because it was so funny.......So Chandler was eating Lucky Charms the other day and he pulls out a moon and says, "look mom it's a crescent." Excuse me, what?? I had to ask him again to make sure I heard him correctly, he is only 2 1/2. It was so funny. I immediately had to call Jon, my mom and my grandma, they couldn't believe it. Thanks Blue's Clues for helping with my children's education. :) Hilarious!!

This weekend we celebrated my younger sister Kelly's birthday. The fam went to Ruby River, we had a great time. Too bad we didn't know until it was too late that Kyle Whittingham, Brian Johnson and a few other "Utes" were there too. It would have been cool to add those pics to the blog. :) Jon did shake Kyle Whittinghams hand and thanked him for a great season. It was a fun night!!

The Festival of Trees!

Jon's mom is on the board for the Festival of Trees, so every year since I have known Jon we go and volunteer throughout the week. Then on Saturday we usually go to enjoy it ourselves. It's fun to see all the different trees people donate. And when they are sold all the money goes to Primary Childrens. It's a fun night and a good cause.

This was one of the many trees Jon's mom did for the festival. This one was for Jon's Gramps who just recently passed away in July. :(

Friday night Jon and I watched our 3 adorable nieces so Rachel and Joe could go to a Christmas Party. Yeh, that's right 5 kids total! Jon and I kept saying to each other, "Can you believe people really have this many kids." They were all actually really good, we had a good time. I would do it again in a heartbeat..........

Jon and I had this whole week off, so we decided to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese. I grew up going to Chuck E. Cheese, I probably had at least 5 birthday parties there, so I knew they would have a blast. Needless to say baby wipes and hand sanitizer were used in large supply. :)

What a game to be at! Jon was so excited to go to the Utah/BYU game thanks to his sister Rachel who had generously offered her ticket to him. She called me Friday night to ask if it was alright if Jon go to the game with Joe, I knew Jon would be stoked so of course I had to say yes. :) I told her we would have our own party, and did we ever. Charli would start crying everytime we screamed when something exciting happened on the game, needless to say she cried a few times, we couldn't help it, that was an exciting game. Player of the game should have gone to Max Hall with his 5 interceptions and 1 fumble!! :)

You better believe Jon and Joe were down there with all those crazies.

My children love the water, so even though it's not summer that won't stop us. Jon and I took them to the South Davis Rec Center, formerly known as "The Bubble" Friday night and they had so much fun. It's a great way to wear them out right before bed.

So Jon was out of town this week and don't get me wrong I love my kids to death, but I start to go a little crazy after about the third day with no break. My "me time" is usually when I go to the gym as soon as Jon gets home from work during the week. But while he was gone Chandler had a little runny nose and Charli just really doesn't like the day care yet, so I had to sacrifice it this week. Needless to say by the time Jon came home I was ready to get out, and being the wonderful husband that he is, he agreed. He told me Saturday could be my day to do whatever I wanted. I started the day off by going to the gym with my "gym buddy" Rachel for 2 hours, it was so great to be there. It doesn't usually take that long but we like to chit chat between every exercise we are doing. After the gym I came home and got ready for a much needed pedicure, Rachel decided she needed one too. After that Jon and I took Chandler to see Madagascar 2, while Rachel and her girls watched Charli. We ended the night with our favorite, Cafe Rio! It was a wonderful day, thanks Jon for being such a great husband, and thank you Rachel for being the best sister- in -law and friend.

Well, I have been tagged, so I guess this means I have to tell 7 "weird" things about myself. I don't know if some are so much weird or rather a little OCD. I do tend to get that way, so here it goes....

1.Whenever I go to bed at night or leave the house I have to go push on the refrigerator make sure it's closed and then touch the top of the stove and make sure it's not hot. I know that probably doesn't sound so weird but I will do it even if I didn't cook that day.

2.Another thing I do before I go to bed that drives Jon crazy is picking up the kids toys, I will not go to bed until every car, puzzle pieces, trains etc. are accounted for. I will spend forever looking under the couches and beds looking for all of them.

3.Anyone that knows me knows that I have a crazy memory for useless information. I remember people's birthdays that I barely know, and when I used to work at the bank I would see the customer coming in and I would have their account pulled up before they even got to my window because I knew their full name and account number. My friend Taylor makes fun of me because I can remember what she was wearing the first time we met, like 8 years ago.

4.I love to pick zits! Not just mine, but Jon's, my sister's, everyone's. I guess it goes with the territory. I do get paid for the majority of the picking though.

5.I like even numbers. Pumping gas, transfering money in my bank accounts etc. I always have to have it even.

6.When I leave my house I will turn around at least 3 times to make sure the garage door shut. If I'm distracted while I'm driving away and don't look to see if it shut I will think about it the rest of the day, "did the garage shut?" It pretty much puts a damper on the rest of the day.

7.At one time I had 82 pairs of shoes! I have done a few D.I. sweeps since then and have gotten rid of some. I think I am now down to about 45. I am trying to be better, but when your addicted your addicted. I tell Jon, there are worst things I could be addicted to. :)

Tonight we took the kids to Black Island Farm in Syracuse. It was a blast, they have so much to do for little kids. It was a little chilly, but Chandler had so much fun, I'm not sure how much fun Charli had though.
